Manu will never say sorry!!

HORROR ... Van Persie is caught in the face by Adebayor's right boot

ROBIN VAN PERSIE reckons he will NEVER get an apology from Emmanuel Adebayor.
Manchester City striker Adebayor stamped on Van Persie's face at Eastlands.

The Arsenal ace said: "He has shown what he is like in the last couple of weeks. So, he had to do what he did. If I look in the mirror, I cannot blame myself."

Former Arsenal star Adebayor claimed he spoke to Dutchman Van Persie after the horror challenge two weeks ago.

But the Gunners striker insists no conversation took place after City's 4-2 win.

Adebayor escaped punishment during the match as ref Mark Clattenburg did not see the incident which left the Arsenal star with a cut on his cheek. But the official told the FA he would have shown a red card had he spotted it.

Van Persie added: "No, I don't expect an apology. My feelings are the same.

"I don't want to waste more time on Mr Adebayor."

Togo ace Adebayor - a £25million buy from Arsenal in the summer - scored in City's win and raced to celebrate in front of the Arsenal fans. The FA is still to decide upon a punishment for this.

Van Persie also admits he is aware that Adebayor could have been given more than a three-game ban for the stamp.

He said: "A referee at the start of the season came and explained that if they think it is worse than a three-game suspension, they will ban for four or five.

"But Adebayor got the ban for what he did because what he did was not right."
