RAPPER JAY-Z splurged £227,000 on last-minute Christmas gifts for wife BEYONCE in just one store.
The 41-year-old spent so long in the Hermès boutique on Christmas Eve that he cancelled a lunch reservation.
An insider said: "Jay was in a private room of Hermès doing last-minute shopping. He had a guard standing watch outside."
The source said the musician bought a number of Birkin handbags - which sell for up to £78,000 EACH - plus other items.
Jay-Z was so busy in the New York shop he asked the eaterie where he planned to have lunch to deliver his food instead.
