NE-YO has put himself in line for SIR ALEX FERGUSON'S famous hairdryer treatment.
The singer barely knows a thing about football but he's keen to hook up with Manchester United stars WAYNE ROONEY and RIO FERDINAND for a training session. After recording a Biz Session - which you can watch by clicking on the links to the right - the R&B star revealed he's desperate to get fit ahead of the birth of his first child.
He said: "Rooney should give me a call. I want to improve my fitness. I really don't like the gym but a training session might be fun and different.
"I'm not sure how long I'd last. I might throw up but I'd be up for the challenge."
He continued: "I'm getting all my hard partying out of the way now. I want to get in shape as I'm taking fatherhood seriously.
"I want to be around as much as I can. I have been turning down opportunities to play NYE gigs for ungodly amounts of money.
"But you have to do these things, you can't get back the birth of your child."
Agreed.
Being a dad is the best feeling in the world and I'm chuffed to hear Ne-Yo is prepared to put an end to his swordsman ways..
But if he's serious in wanting to join up with Manchester United I'd advise him to swot up on his football knowledge.
When I asked if former Man U legend DAVID BECKHAM had increased the US public's interest in the sport he said: "A bit. Some people still don't get it.
"Matches last three days and people lose interest as they are always so low-scoring."
Has he watched any of the Premier League this season?
Watch the acoustic session - including the single One In A Million from new album Libra Scale, old favourite So Sick and a cover of STEVIE WONDER'S Ribbon In The Sky - by clicking on the links above, right.
Libre Scale is out now.
