Manchester United have won only once in 11 visits and another loss would leave them five points behind Chelsea.
And Fergie said: "Our record there has not been good. We must get our act together.
"But there's no point looking back, just look at our present squad and what they're capable of. We can win the game, there's no doubt about that."
The United boss expects the top-of-the-table clash to be full blooded.
He said: "At moments it'll be intense and feisty.
"But there are so many great players on the pitch that you are expecting some moments of terrific play."
