NEEDLE MATCH

BLUE HEAVEN ... Kenny Miller is mobbed by jubilant team-mates Boyd, Naismith and Novo after hitting his second

KENNY MILLER has revealed a course of acupuncture helped him give Celtic the needle.

Rangers' Old Firm match- winner was a major injury doubt for yesterday's Ibrox derby.

He had been forced out of the Euro loss to Sevilla after being struck down by an old hamstring problem.

But the two-goal Gers hitman turned to acupuncture and Thai therapy to get him ready for the derby win. Miller said: "I feel good and I've had some different treatments to help me.

"I've had massage, physio and Thai therapy. I've had all sorts of stretching exercises.

"I've also had acupuncture and it's starting to feel a lot better now. I'm over the moon with the two goals and the win was vital for us."

Miller will fly out to Germany today for a second opinion on his hamstring problem.

But he's already on cloud nine after ending Gers' horror goalless run of five hours and a minute in the league.

Miller struck twice inside the opening 16 minutes as Gers closed to within one point of SPL leaders Celts.

He added: "It's a massive win for us. A defeat would have left us seven points behind and it would have been hard to claw back, so this was vital for us.

"Hopefully, this can kick-start our season. We had not been firing on all cylinders and not creating too many chances."
