BEYONCE was always going to struggle to win over the rock purists in the audience.
And asking them to sing Happy Birthday to a bloke called Steve three songs in didn't help.But the pop fans amongst the hordes of punters watching her Sunday night headline slot on the Pyramid Stage loved every minute.
U2 were good on Friday, Coldplay brilliant on Saturday and the Houston diva made her own piece of Glastonbury history closing the festival on Sunday.

The emotional star, the first female solo headliner at the Somerset event in a quarter of a century, then enthusiastically greeted the crowd.
She said: "I want you to know right now you are witnessing my dream.
"I always wanted to be a rock star and tonight we are all rock stars.

POP diva on the Pyramid stage followed by Plan B and Paul Simon setsShe then launched into Single Ladies which put a smile on faces of the 175,000 fans in the crowd - and not just because it looked like there were three Sideshow Bobs dancing on stage.

Beyonce's famous pins got a bit of respite when she crawled on top of a piano to sing ballad 1+1.
A beautiful version of 2006 hit Irreplaceable followed, with Beyonce appearing close to tears.

The curly-haired star gave a shout out to her former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams before launching into a stunning medley of their greatest hits.
She then did pal Lady GaGa proud with a thumping version of their smash hit Telephone while flexing her toned pins at speed.

Husband Jay-Z, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin who watched from the side of the stage must have been knackered.
You have to give her credit because her energy levels were incredible.
And a special mention for avoiding a wardrobe malfunction.
She said: "I need a moment to soak this in."
