'It feels good to stroke my own ego' ... Mike Tyson
MIKE TYSON was good in The Hangover and his boxing pedigree has its place in history.
But when the pigeon fancier looks in the mirror he doesn't see a tattooed headcase. He sees a god. A bit like Alan Partridge. He said: "Sometimes I mistake myself for a god because that's what I was told as a kid. I believe you had to think that.
"You know, sometimes it feels good to stroke my own ego."
Something tells me that isn't a euphemism either.
The ex-heavyweight champion also told GQ Sport, on sale with GQ from Thursday, that he works hard to control his rage now he has a third wife LAKIHA and two children with her. He has six other kids.
Tyson said of his anger: "It's very difficult to suppress it. Every now and again it flares up but I suppress it now because I know otherwise it will allow my will to run riot.
"Once that happens I can no longer have a beautiful relationship. I always come to a situation now on my knees, now that I'm married."
That must make doing the weekly shop very difficult.
