The proud parents, both clad in dressing gowns, seem more than glad of a helping hand from anchor woman BARBARA WALTERS.
The candid snap was taken after the veteran American broadcaster grilled the pair for an interview which will air tomorrow.
The chat comes hot on the heels of news that Elton will be returning to Las Vegas for a three-year residency at Caesars Palace - despite saying he was "bored" the first time round in Sin City.
He originally signed up to share the hotel's Coliseum venue with CELINE DION in 2003, performing his 200th show in 2008 before hitting the road on his Red Piano Tour.
David, Elton and Zachary will be returning from the States within the coming week, in time for the Royal Wedding of PRINCE WILLIAM and KATE MIDDLETON on April 29.
The singer was a close friend of William's mum PRINCESS DIANA, performing a reworded version of Candle In The Wind at her funeral in 1997.
