FINGERPRINTS on a broken syringe found under Michael Jackson's bed could be used by his doctor Conrad Murray to prove the star killed himself.

Murray's lawyers are expected to claim the Thriller star injected himself with the lethal dose of sedative Propofol while the doctor was out the room.

The accused medic, 57, insists he did not touch the needle, found in the bedroom where the singer died at his Los Angeles home in June 2009.
He admits giving Jacko, 50, a cocktail of drugs but claims he did not give him anything that would kill him.
He denies involuntary manslaughter. His trial begins in May.
At a pre-trial hearing in LA, Dr Murray's legal team asked to see prints taken from the syringe.
A source close to the case said: "The defence will be based around the claim Michael gave himself the fatal dose.
"While there was medical equipment in the room Murray clearly did use, he'll claim he did not touch this particular syringe.
"It could prove a crucial and controversial piece of evidence."
Next week potential jurors will be quizzed on their views on Jacko.
