Kanye West Sued for Allegedly Assaulting Photographer

A photographer is suing Kanye West, alleging that the rapper's bodyguards beat him down after a party at Gavastinos in New York City in 2008.
The photog, Michael Vasquez, is suing for unspecified damages. In the court documents, Vasquez details that he was on hand to cover the 25th Anniversary of G-Shock, an event for which West was reportedly paid $1 million to make an appearance. Vasquez claims he was "assaulted, battered, beat and threatened" by at least 10 security guards.
"The actions by defendants Kanye West's agents, servants and/or employees was committed with malice," the suit says.
This doesn't mark the first time West has had a run-in with a photographer. In January of 2010, the "Runaway" rapper was charged with one count of vandalism, grand theft and battery. The charges stemmed from a 2008 incident in which 'Ye and his road manager, Don C., wrestled a camera away from a photographer at L.A.X. Airport and smashed it to the ground. The incident was caught on tape, and charges were later dropped.
