KANYE WEST has shown his giving side with an appearance at a charity event.

The rapper usually boasts of buying expensive leather trousers and other such designer clothing.

But he proved there is a good, not-so-annoying, side to him by surprising workers at the New Yorkers For Children's Wrap To Rap event.

He helped wrap presents which were donated by firm Wal-Mart.

Also there was his co-star from his first film Runaway SELITA EBANKS.

When asked by guests why he decided to roll in, Kanye is reported to have explained that he simply felt compelled to lend a hand because he believed it was a good cause.

And not a single second dedicated to himself?

Amazing.
