A GIRL blamed for Prince William's split from Kate Middleton told yesterday of her joy at the pair's engagement.
Leggy Lisa Agar, 23, downed sambuca shots with Wills at a club and danced with him on a podium. He even posed with the office manager for a fun snap taken by her pal less than two weeks before the shock break-up in 2007.
Some royal fans said the rift was Lisa's fault and launched a hate campaign against her.
Back together ... Lisa Agar and James Woodsford
She told The Sun: "William and Kate have both said how their time apart made them stronger.
"I'm so happy they ended up together. It's mindblowing to think I played a part in royal history."
William was training as a tank commander when he went with other Household Cavalry officers to Elements nightclub in Bournemouth, Dorset.
Lisa recalled: "I was amazed when I realised who was standing next to me.
"I'd been dancing with his soldier friend earlier and that was who introduced us to each other.
"William drank Stella Artois and we drank shots of sambuca together. He then went off to dance on a podium. The next thing I knew he was beckoning me to join him up there.
"I was dancing on a podium with the future King. It was crazy.
"When I heard a couple of weeks later that he had broken up with Kate I was astonished."
Lisa started receiving hate mail and was subjected to internet insults. She said: "At least one person said that I should die." The pressure caused HER to split with mechanic boyfriend James Woodsford, 24. But, just like Wills and Kate, they too reunited.
Now they plan to set up home in Ringwood, Hants. Lisa joked: "The place needs a bit of work - but for us it's a palace."
