THE citizens of New York had little need for the temperature to rise further yesterday morning - but LADY GAGA did her best.

She got kitted out in a black basque and fishnet stockings to perform on top of a giant podium.
The East Coast of the US has been suffering a crippling heatwave.
And scores of sweaty fans desperate to see their idol camped overnight to watch her perform for a morning TV broadcast at the city's Rockerfeller Center.
If they wanted to see her in the flesh she certainly didn't let them down.
