Ready for action ... Angelina Jolie

MOST blokes would give anything to spend some time with stunning ANGELINA JOLIE.

But they might think twice now - after the star admitted that she likes to eat spiders.
In new movie Salt she plays a tough CIA officer on the run after a Russian defector claims that she is a spy sent by Moscow to assassinate the US President.
She faces all sorts of terrible trials - including an encounter with a gruesome-looking spider.
But tattooed Angelina, 35, says: "I do like spiders and bugs and all that, so I'm not squeamish. I've eaten some from my days in Cambodia, so I don't have a problem - but I didn't eat this one."

Angelina filmed 2001 hit Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in Cambodia and adopted her son, MADDOX, eight, over there.
It has been two years since her last film.
She took time off after the birth of KNOX and VIVIENNE, the twins she had with BRAD PITT two years ago.
The couple also have biological daughter SHILOH, four, as well as son PAX, six, and five-year-old girl ZAHARA, who were both adopted.
Salt was originally scripted with a male lead, tipped to be TOM CRUISE. But then they decided to make the character a woman - Evelyn Salt.
Angelina said: "Brad was very supportive. I had just had Vivienne and Knox and I was sitting in my nightgown in bed feeling very, very girly and very soft and I sat with him on the bed and I said, 'I think I found something that will help me get kind of fired up and physical again and it might be good.'

"I hadn't worked for over a year because I had been pregnant and so he was kind of, you know, anything that I was ready to do, he was going to jump behind but he was happy for me."
The couple met while making comedy action movie Mr & Mrs Smith and got together in 2005.
She says: "We met doing this style of film. He knows it's fun for me and we have fun together doing a lot of physical things, so even doing my training for this or motorcycle practice or things like that, he does."
But the big question is: Will Angelina and Brad tie the knot?
The actress - who has been married twice before - admits she would say Yes if their kids wanted a wedding.
She says: "I think it would be hard to say No to the kids. They're not asking. They are very aware nothing's missing."
Remarkably, the mum-of-six does not rule out the idea of adding to their brood.
She says: "There are no plans at the moment for more. But we always talk about it. We're always open. You know?
"We kind of joke about it because in the morning we're so tired. And we always look at each other and wonder, 'Are we ever gonna get sleep?' Yet we still love the idea of having more children."
There has been a positive buzz about Salt, which opens in the UK next month, thanks to an exciting trailer. But her kids were left distinctly unimpressed.

Angelina, whose character disguises herself by changing her hair from blonde to black, says: "They saw the trailer. Half of them were completely uninterested.
"Pax thought somebody was trying to hurt his mom. But I explained it was all fine. I think they're very confused, to be honest.
"I don't quite know what to think. Even the change of hair colour is confusing for them."
The film mirrors events in real life - when a group of Russian spies were discovered deep undercover in the US.
Angelina met secret agents to prepare for the role and was impressed by how tough they were.
She says: "We met women who were in the CIA. We met tough, extraordinary women who look soft and sweet, like someone's mom, and they are tougher than any of us.
"They are extraordinarily strong women and there are women in the army right now and across the world fighting wars. There is no question to me about a woman's ability."
Angelina is no wimp herself and won't duck out of hair-raising stunts. She never fears for her own safety. She says: "I think I should probably be more fearful in some ways because I'm a little fearless to the point of stupidity sometimes,

"I've got the scars to prove it. But I've been so fortunate in my career that I've been able to do these type of films that I will admit that I'm an adrenalin junkie.
"I do love to jump out of things and on to things, and so I don't really have a great deal of fear when it comes to those things. I, like most people, am only afraid of something happening to the people I love.
"That is the extent of my fear and that's the great fear, and that is the only thing that keeps me up at night."
During the making of Salt she had to climb on the outside of a tall building.
She says: "They don't let me climb out on the wall until somebody has done it first. So that, I think, is the scariest thing for the stunt person to do. They do let me climb out on the wall in the end.
"They can tell me what to jump off of and I trust them and I close my eyes and it's OK."
Angelina has had plenty of experience with action movies, having done Tomb Raider and Wanted. She had even talked about being James Bond.
She says: "I made a joke that I want to play Bond joked when I was talking to Amy Pascal, who produced Salt, a couple of years ago.
"Then, almost two years later, she called me and said, 'I think I found it.' But in fact, it is very different from Bond and very different from the Jason Bourne films.
"Hopefully, we took good elements of both of them and we found something very new, which is, I think, what we had to do.
"We really wanted to focus on not just doing the girl version of the male fights but actually finding a way of fighting that was unique."
Since returning to work, Angelina has been very busy.
After Salt she stars with JOHNNY DEPP in The Tourist and does a voiceover in the new Kung Fu Panda animated movie.
Now she is looking for more challenging female roles.
She says: "I think there have been great women in history that are yet to be played - great roles for women.
"I think there are great women stories but I think there are also great simple stories about motherhood and bravery of women who are simply mothers and not some big action movie."
The more action we see from you, the better, Angelina.

Salt opens in cinemas on August 20.
