After photos were released of the singer-producer and his assistant Melissa Santiago frolicking in the Caribbean ocean over the weekend, The Dream's wife took to her Twitter account to address the situation.
"Whatever you think, believe it," Milian posted.
Shortly thereafter, The Dream released a statement to US Weekly confirming the split.
"Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter, Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward," said his rep.
Milian, 28, and The-Dream, 29, eloped in September of 2009 in Las Vegas and had a second wedding ceremony in Rome in December. Their daughter Violet was born in February.
Rumors of relationship troubles were denied last month, and on June 29, Milian tweeted about The Dream's new CD, 'Love King.'
"Everybody go pick up that LOVEKING album from THE-DREAM ASAP! Support my boo!" she wrote then.
'Love King' has had lackluster sales since its release.
This is The Dream's second failed marriage. He was previously married to R&B singer Nivea for three years, but the couple divorced in 2007.
He and Nivea have three children: a daughter Navy Talia and twin sons London and Christian.
