Tragically, Nelson Mandela’s great granddaughter, 13-year-old Zenani Mandela, was killed in a car crash on her way home from the kick off concert early Friday morning. The Nelson Mandela foundation said later Mandela would not attend Friday's World Cup opening ceremony and game in Johannesburg as the family is “torn up” about the death.
