Even incarceration can't stop Gucci Mane's hustle. It's being reported that Gucci (born Radric Davis) has officially severed ties with CEO of So Icey Entertainment/Mizay Entertainment Debrah Antney.
Antney, the mother of Waka Flocka Flame who also serves as her manager, was also let go by Nicki Minaj weeks ago. In addition, Gucci has also parted ways with Hitt Afta Hitt Enterprises' Johnnie Cabbell. Cabbell was Gucci's booking agaent.
Ironically, both Antney and Cabell are facing lawsuits in conjuction with booking shows for the Gucci and receiving advance money knowing the rapper wouldn't be in attendance.
Moving forward, Gucci will release music through his own 1017 Brick Squad imprint with First Avenue Management and the powerhouse booking agency CAA. CAA is responsible for booking shows for Anthony Hamilton, Usher and teeny bopper sensation Justin Bieber.
Gucci will handle presidential and CEO roles for the label. The roster consists of Waka Flocka and Brick Squad, which is comprised of Gucci, Wacka and OJ Da Juiceman.
"The rest of 2010 is going to be real major," Gucci stated. "I'm taking control of all of my business properties and keeping the focus on my career, my music and my artists. All the pieces to the puzzle are finally in place and once I get home it's Gucci time."
In related news, Gucci Mane has been named as a performers for HOT 97's annual Summer Jam concert on June 6 at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ. A prison release date for Gucci Mane has yet to be set.
