‎Ditching the Press
On Saturday, the president caused a bit of a stir when he ditched his press pool to watch one of his daughter’s soccer games. Usually, whenever the president travels anywhere members of the White House press corps go with him to report on his activities. But on this day he left two hours before the press arrived. Some early arriving reporters tried to catch up with Obama after he left, but by the time they got to the game, the president had already left.
