Banned ... mephedrone, also known as meow meow
A MAN held yesterday is thought to be the first person in Britain arrested on suspicion of possessing meow meow.
The party drug - also known as mephedrone - was made illegal at midnight yesterday and the man, in his 20s, was arrested just hours later.
Cops also allegedly found ecstasy and cannabis at the address in Bewdley, Worcs.
West Mercia Police said the man had not been charged and was released on bail.
Those convicted of possessing the drug face up to five years' prison.
