BLUE MURDER ... Kalou is sent flying
CHELSEA were fuming last night as a ref blunder helped Inter win at the San Siro.
Salomon Kalou was tripped in the area by Walter Samuel just before half-time - but Spaniard Manuel Gonzalez waved play on. Kalou's away goal still gives the Blues a good chance of progressing in this Champions League last-16 tie.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti complained: "I am sure it was a penalty but the referee did not blow his whistle and I don't want to talk about him.
"I know he is a very good referee with a lot of experience but we were very unlucky and I hope we will have better fortune in the return game.
"We played very well but this is not the result we had hoped for.
"We attacked all game and we will do the same at Stamford Bridge. We have a good chance to go through."
And cheeky Samuel even admitted: "It was a penalty but I like this referee."
Blues midfielder Frank Lampard insisted: "A penalty for us and a red card for their player would have made a massive difference.
"Salomon is sure he was tripped but what can we do?
"Maybe we deserved better but, hopefully, the crucial decisions will go our way in London."
Chelsea's defeat was made worse by a serious calf injury suffered by keeper Petr Cech, who could face a spell on the sidelines.
Lampard added: "On the possession and shots on target we were stronger.
"Jose Mourinho is very intelligent in how he plays and Inter getting an early goal made it tough.
"But we have an away goal and must be positive."

Chelsea chief Carlo Ancelotti before kick-off
Former Blues boss Mourinho insisted he did not see the penalty incident and said: "It was a classic Champions League game.
"I will have to control my emotions at Stamford Bridge and try to stay professional like tonight but it will not be easy for me.
"In the tunnel before the game, it will not be a normal match for me or for the Chelsea players.
"I expect people will be very pleased to see me because we were so happy when we were together.
"It will be strange for me to go to a different dressing room and be in the away dug-out.
"But I know Mourinho is always lucky at Stamford Bridge. I only lost one game there with Chelsea."
Cech was carried off on a stretcher after landing awkwardly as he caught a second-half cross.
Ancelotti added: "He's injured his calf and, hopefully, it's not serious."
