Wenger is really going 4 it now!

TURNING POINT ... Andrey Arshavin celebrates his Anfield winner for Arsenal

ARSENE WENGER admits he faces the toughest four games of his Arsenal career over the next fortnight.

The Gunners travel to Aston Villa tonight before facing Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea in a run of matches that will help decide their Premier League destiny this term.

And boss Wenger insists there will be no safety-first policy as his side bid to reclaim top spot from rivals United at Villa Park.

He said: "There is always another way to play but our way is to score goals.

"Our goal difference speaks well for us.

"I have never known a run of four league games as significant as these. Never in all my time here, not four on the trot.

"If we win them all we are in a very strong position, for sure. But let's start with the first one and ignore all of the others."

Wenger picked out his side's 2-1 comeback victory at Liverpool in mid-December - when Andrey Arshavin hit the winner - and the 3-0 triumph over Villa a fortnight later as turning points in the Gunners' season.

He added: "Before Liverpool, we had not won big games.

"We didn't win against Chelsea at home, we didn't win at Manchester City or Manchester United.

"Even if we felt we should have won, we didn't and it was in the head of the players. But we did it at Liverpool, we beat Villa and we overcame something in our head. It shows immense mental strength to come back.

"I believe there are moments in the season where you have decisive wins. They are important for the belief in the team."

Wenger reckons beating Villa at the Emirates - thanks to sub Cesc Fabregas' super show - just a month ago gives his side an edge tonight.

He added: "That game will give us belief because we know we have played in a strong way, a disciplined way against Villa at home.

"I think they are top-four contenders and you never expect an easy game against Villa. But we know we can beat them - and they know it as well."

Wenger will have his full array of first-team stars back on parade tonight after resting most of them for Sunday's FA Cup defeat at Stoke.

Nicklas Bendtner and Samir Nasri return after injuries - but will be on the bench.
