HEADS I WIN ... Ricardo Fuller celebrates
RICARDO FULLER headed a famous double to dump Arsenal out of the FA Cup.
The Stoke striker nodded home a trademark long bomb from Rory Delap just 71 seconds into the match, before a deflected Denilson strike drew the Gunners level.
But Fuller was not finished, converting Mamady Sidibe's cross following a bullocking run down the right from the frontman.
Dean Whitehead then piled more misery on Arsene Wenger's men, stabbing home late-on to complete the victory.
The match saw Sol Campbell make his first start for Arsenal since his return to the club, in a much-changed line-up.
Teen stars Francis Coquelin, Craig Eastmond and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas were all included, with only Cesc Fabregas and Denilson retained from the side that beat Bolton in midweek.
Stoke made three changes from the side that drew with Liverpool last weekend, with Danny Collins, Glenn Whelan and Fuller in the starting line-up.
And it was the Jamaican who fired his side to a shock early lead — thanks to a long throw from Delap.
The ball flew over the head of Campbell for Fuller to power a header home, with Lukasz Fabianski failing to get there first with his punch.
Arsenal's raw youngsters struggled against the power of Stoke's play, quickly harassed into mistakes and lost possession.
Every set-piece was a problem for the Gunners, while their attacking play produced little of substance.
One late Ryan Shawcross tackle into Fabregas' shins deserved more than just the free-kick the referee awarded, and the Arsenal skipper made his feelings known to the Stoke defender.
At the other end Tony Pulis' men might have had a penalty when Mikael Silvestre caught Fuller late in the box.
But three minutes from the break, Arsenal were level following a handball from Dean Whitehead.
Fabregas' short free-kick square to Denilson the Brazilian fire past Thomas Sorensen into the bottom corner via two deflections.
The second half almost started like the first, with Delap's missile-like thrown-ins causing problems in the Arsenal defence.
Arsene Wenger responded by throwing on the big guns, with Andrey Arshavin, Eduardo and Aaron Ramsey replacing Emmanuel-Thomas, Theo Walcott and Coquelin in the 70th minute.
But it was Stoke who dominated the last quarter of the match, with Fuller and Whitehead sealing the win.
A cracking sprint down the wing by Sidibe set up the first, with an inch-perfect cross finding his strike partner in the middle.
And then Etherington set up the third from the other flank, providing Whitehead with a simple tap-in.
