RAPPER SNOOP DOGG is in talks with Coronation Street producers about a cameo role - in Ashley Peacock's butcher's shop.

And the US hip-hop star wants soccer ace pal DAVID BECKHAM to appear alongside him and actor STEVEN ARNOLD behind the counter in the soap.

Snoop, 38 - who plans to appear as part of Corrie's 50th anniversary celebrations - said: "Id love to be in it.

"My people have reached out to the producers and we are going to do it.
"They should definitely put some Snoop Dogg in there. The butcher's will be the cool spot.
"I'd have my man David Beckham in there working with me. He's my guy."

The rapper spent yesterday near Corrie's Granada Studios, helping volunteers paint a community centre in Salford, before a gig at Manchester's Apollo.
In January, The Sun told how he tunes in to see Betty Turpin and co when in UK hotels. He said: "I love to chill and watch Coronation Street."
Last month, Snoop recorded a video message for the soap's 50th.
