Star turn ... rapper Eminem was in fine form - but you had to be there

 

EMINEM'S only UK show of the year and his first in Britain for five years was the highlight of the weekend for me.

So what a shame no one could see it unless they were there.
The rapper banned the BBC from broadcasting any of his act and bosses had to resort to using photos on their T In The Park website.
Perhaps he wasn't happy with his performance. But from what I saw it was absolutely superb.
The Beeb issued a long explanation of why some acts might not get broadcast.
The range of possibilities included too much swearing and poor quality of the recording.
At least it made it all the more special for the fans there in person.
