Kid Cudi Arrested In NYC

Kid Cudi ran into issues on Friday (June 11) when he was arrested in downtown NYC for criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance.

The Cleveland native was apprehended after his involvement in a public disturbance with an unidentified female in Manhattan's Chelsea district. The controlled substance is believed to be an unknown amount of marijuana.

Representatives from the NYPD have yet to provide any further information about the rapper's arrest. Reps from Cudi's label and management haven't commented on the matter.

According to authorities, Cudi is currently awaiting arraignment from a judge and his bail has yet to be set.

This is Cudi's second run-in with the police. Last year Cudi was detained in Los Angeles at the conclusion of a magazine shoot where citizens of an L.A. residence complained about Cudi and his entourage.

Kid Cudi is currently putting the final touches on his sophomore project, "Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager," which is set for a September 14 release.
