CUTE swimming babies peer into a camera in images just like the famous album cover by rock legends Nirvana.

They look completely at home underwater during revolutionary classes for swimmers as young as six weeks. Phil Shaw and Ana Torres set up London Baby Swim in 2008 and now have 500 members.

Phil, 49, said the lessons help develop movement and learning skills.

He added: "A weekly swim also provides a good workout."
Parents join their children in the water for the lessons in Osterley, West London, which are led by qualified instructors.
Babies soon get used to the pool, because until nine months they have a reflex which automatically closes their windpipes when underwater.
Keen photographer Phil takes memento snaps of each child's first dip.
The swimming baby was on US band Nirvana's breakthrough 1991 album Nevermind.
