Beckham strip ... David to be comic star

DAVID BECKHAM is to become a comic book star - in a story telling of his rise to international fame.

The cartoon will chart the 35-year-old's career from dreaming of becoming a professional footballer to his Manchester United and LA Galaxy days. The strip - titled Fame: David Beckham - will also depict the crocked England ace's influence on fashion.
Becks is the first sporting figure to feature in publisher Bluewater's "Fame" series.
Other celebs to have been made into comic book heroes include US Secretary of State HILLARY CLINTON and pop star LADY GAGA.
The comic is out in the US in September.
