But there's one thing about Victoria Beckham we don't like - her trotters.

71 per cent of the nation say Posh has the worst celebrity feet and 67 per cent thought she should have urgent surgery to deal with her bunions.

The stats come from a new survey by Scholl, marking the footwear firm's Keeping Britain on its Feet campaign.

Despite the adverse reaction to Posh's heel-induced gnarly bunions, 81 per cent of women surveyed by Scholl still feel sexier wearing high heels and half the nation admitted to buying a new pair of ill-fitting shoes.

The survey also found that half of us are not happy with the appearance of our feet and a whopping 79 per cent would not want our feet handled by a celeb.

Of the 21 per cent who would let a famous person near their feet, Cheryl Cole for men and George Clooney for women topped the list.

The survey also found that both men and women can be instantly turned off by another's feet.

52 per cent of men say they would be most put off by hairy toes; while women cited athlete's foot as the biggest turnoff.

When it comes to taking shoes seriously, unsurprisingly the women win.

When faced with a choice between stocking the kitchen cupboard or buying another pair of shoes, a third say they would rather starve while only 12 per cent of men would go without their grub.

Seven per cent of women have loved their shoes so much that they have even worn them to bed.

And men like them too - 13 per cent of men also admitted to wearing their partner's high heels in the bedroom.
