LITTLE Kai Rooney provides the perfect pick-me-up for glum dad Wayne yesterday.

He put a smile back on the soccer star's face - after his disappointment at missing out on the Premier League title.

Wayne, 24, showed off his six-month-old son as his Manchester United team went on an end of season walkabout on the pitch to thank fans for their support.
Last season's champs United had just beaten Stoke 4-0 at their Old Trafford stadium - but they were pipped to the title by Chelsea.
In the most dramatic finale to the top flight season for years, the Londoners thrashed Wigan 8-0 to win the title by one point.
It was a depressing day for Wayne, who limped off near the end of United's game with a groin injury.

He also failed to find the net yesterday and missed out on the prized Golden Boot for the league's top scorer to Chelsea's Didier Drogba.
But manager Sir Alex Ferguson didn't seem too concerned about the injury and Wayne is expected to be fit to play for England in this summer's World Cup.
Kai showed his support for the ace striker by wearing a shirt bearing Rooney's number, 10, and the word "Daddy". Proud mum Coleen was watching from the stands.

Protests against United's American owners - the Glazer family - dominated yesterday's match as fans voiced anger over the club's spiralling £700million debts.
Before kick-off supporters let off a smoke bomb outside the stadium's megastore, while others stood outside the directors' box and chanted anti-Glazer songs.
Hundreds yelled "Glazers Out" and held placards with the word "Go".
Police said there were no injuries or arrests.
Meanwhile, jubilant Chelsea stars also celebrated yesterday's big win with their little ones.
The players carried their kids on to the pitch at Stamford Bridge so the youngsters could join in their title-winning party.
Captain John Terry, midfield aces Frank Lampard and Joe Cole were among those who made it a family affair.
Terry, 29 - whose fling with French model Vanessa Perroncel, 28, made headlines earlier this year - was also joined by his forgiving wife Toni.
After the final whistle, Terry gave the white boots he wore during the game to a girl in the crowd - who was so thrilled she burst into tears.
Chelsea bagged their third Premier League title in six years as they hammered Wigan - then paraded the trophy in front of ecstatic fans.
Terry said: "I'm delighted with my teammates, the way we have performed all season."
Russian owner Roman Abramovich was also on the pitch to congratulate the players.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti, in his first season at the club, grabbed a microphone and thanked fans for their support.
