After receiving much criticism for her acceptance speech at this year's Palm Springs Film Festival, Mariah gave the critics some insight on the infamous speech. "You know, there’s a time for celebration and a time for not, but really, technically it’s kind of like a party atmosphere, so they trick ya," she continued. "No, it was fun. If people don’t understand me and think I’m this girl that just stands by a microphone and sings 'Hero,' then they’re definitely not gonna get me."
