Obama: One year after election

Afghanistan debate and health care top Obama's agenda

During his nearly 300 days in office, President Obama has acted on a wide range of issues, from the economy to terrorism and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He has so far:
-- Passed a $787 billion economic stimulus plan.
-- Unveiled a series of measures to help troubled banks, homeowners and small businesses.
-- Reversed many Bush-era initiatives, such as detention policies and harsh interrogation practices.
-- Increased the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
-- Announced a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.
-- Overturned a Bush-era policy that limited federal tax dollars for embryonic stem cell research.
-- Proposed a 2010 budget that included key energy, education and health care programs.
Obama is debating sending more troops to Afghanistan, working to pass health care legislation and has an energy bill winding its way through the halls of Congress.
