According to documents obtained from the FBI by TMZ.com, Michael Jackson’s molestation trial might have been a target for terrorists due to the high volume of media coverage.
Before the trial commenced, Santa Monica authorities requested the presence of the FBI for the duration of the trial. The “worldwide coverage” of the case was deemed a perfect target for an attack.
Despite the presence of a “New Black Panther Party” member at MJ’s first court hearing, after thorough investigation, the FBI concluded that based on the information they received, a credible threat was nowhere in sight.
