We're with the band-age

RIHANNA and LADY GAGA are usually more bondage than bandage when it comes to their get-ups.
But they both looked like they'd taken inspiration from ancient Egyptian mummies at the American Music Awards on Sunday.

Rih entered the stage chained to a spinning wheel before belting out two tracks from her new album - Wait Your Turn and Hard.

Meanwhile, GaGa hit the stage in a barmy "bandages and bones" costume.

She also risked life and limb playing a flaming piano for the set.

Maybe the bandages were included in her costume in case of an accident.

On fire ... Lady GaGa

She didn't look any less eye-catching when she sat in the audience at the bash.

JENNIFER LOPEZ marked her return by singing new single Louboutins in a boxing-themed routine.

She entered the stage dressed like a fighter and managed to lose her footing during one particularly challenging sequence (see video, right).

Slip ... J.Lo hits deck

The big winners on the night where TAYLOR SWIFT and MICHAEL JACKSON.

Jacko's brother JERMAINE accepted four posthumous awards of his behalf, including Favourite Soul/R&B Male and Favourite Pop/Rock Male.

The former JACKSON 5 star had earlier watched his sister JANET open the show with a medley of her own hits.

Country star Taylor, who acknowledged her gongs via a satellite link-up from London, went one better than MJ - scooping five awards including the coveted Artist of the Year.

WHITNEY HOUSTON, who performed new single I Don't Know My Own Strength, won the International Artist Award prize, while JAY-Z scooped Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Male and Favourite Rap/Hop Album awards.

BLACK EYED PEAS won Favourite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group and also performed a medley of tracks.
