The total bill, equivalent to about £600,000, included £21,000 for the King of Pop's never-to-be-seen burial outfit.

His and the other crypts are in the Sanctuary of Ascension in Holly Terrace at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.


A mere 200 mourners attended his quiet, private funeral ceremony on September 3 - following the extravagant Staples Center public memorial show in July.


The cost of the funeral and resting places emerged in court documents as the star's mum Katherine, 79, announced she was ending her feud with the executors of her son's estate.



They showed that the family were warned "the funeral will not proceed" unless they paid the funeral home by September 1.


Lawyers warned that would cause the family "public embarrassment and added grief, along with the daunting task of having to make new arrangements".


Apart from Jacko's £21,146 outfit, £7,079 went on invitations and programmes and £9,668 on flowers for the family's grand goodbye.


Estate attorney Howard Weitzman said: "I'd have probably done it less expensively, but it was Michael Jackson.


"He was bigger than life when he was alive and there's no reason why his funeral shouldn't be bigger than life."

This Is It star Jacko died on June 25 aged 50.
